story begins in 1990
In 1990, Ricardo Oteros, Vicente Arregui, and Raúl Gil created Supracafé, the first Spanish coffee roaster to exclusively market 100% Arabica coffee. From the beginning, the company has been committed to sustainability, social responsibility, and sharing coffee culture with the world.
Their dream was to elevate coffee into a gourmet product — and they succeeded. Today, Supracafé is served in high-end hospitality, including luxury hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants.
Supracafé is also the first Spanish brand in the industry to own a coffee estate in Colombia. All its cultivation takes place across more than 100 hectares at the foot of the Puracé volcano, nestled in the heart of the Central Andes. The estate grows over 200 varieties of coffee.
With a solid track record, the company founded TECNICAFÉ in 2015 — the first scientific, technological, and innovation park for coffee in Colombia, located on the estate itself.
In 2017, after a thorough restoration of the original farmhouse, the Supracafé Hotel opened its doors: a boutique hotel with 10 charming rooms. And let’s not forget the gastronomy — here, you can enjoy a wide variety of international cuisine. You’ll never go hungry!
Hacienda Supracafé is also available for all kinds of events, from weddings to intimate business gatherings. It’s an idyllic place to immerse yourself in coffee culture, with hands-on workshops and guided tours through the coffee plantations.
